Is your Hair on Trend, or is it Dated?

We are now into 2018, let’s talk about trends that will be poppin’ in 2018 and what trends that may stay in 2017.     Let’s talk about the grey hair trend first….Ok, grey hair was all the rave in 2017 and before. The grey hair trend has been going strong for close to 10 years, believe it or not. Now, natural grey hair, is absolutely gorgeous, but let us please keep the artificial, slate, stone grey in 2017.

2018 is going to gear more towards the champagne tones of blonde, which is tool considered relatively cool or ashy, but it does have enough warmth that makes that color very light reflective. Champagne is a true neutral color and it will definitely be very trendy in 2018.

2017 was full of daring people who were rocking the pinks, rose golds, purples, very beautiful jewel tones in 2017. Even though, I do see us gearing more towards the cooler jewel tones like blues, turquoise and greens, I live for a head of purple, pink and rose gold hair, so do you girl.

Structured haircuts were very popular in 2017 and will still be a strong trend in 2018. Blunt haircuts with little to no layering, precision cuts and very beautiful lines. On the other hand, we will have beautiful shaggy haircuts with a ton of layering.

2017 was the year of the loose wave, in 2018 those waves will only get looser, even to bone straight. On the other hand, we will also see a lot of texturing, maybe even crimping…yes girl, crimping.

In 2017, braids, faux locs, gorgeous tribal braids made a comeback and will continue too, adorned in gorgeous hair jewelry. Girl, I live for some long braids, Brandy realness. #Aliciakeys #Brandy #Naturalhair
